GN Division level Risk Maps based on Dependency Ratio
- The 2nd phase of COVID-19 Pandemic becoming severe day by day. It is observed that over-age and younger-age populations are more vulnerable to COVID-19 Pandemic.
- The Dependency-Ratio illustrates the portion of the population over 60 years of age and under 14 years.
- Therefore, Dependency-Ratio is a significant and important indicator of the risk population towards COVID-19 Pandemic.
- In order to extend the support for Pandemic related operations, the DCS has been mapped Dependency-Ratio and Population at Grama Niladhari Division (GND) Level for all 331 Divisional Secretary’s Divisions (DSDs) in Sri Lanka with few infrastructure layers such as Main Roads, Tanks, Rivers with information on all adjacent Divisions.
