District Level Statistics on Education System of Sri Lanka

Ministry of Education conducts a school census annually. Some Statistics on the education system of Sri Lanka aggregated at districts are given below.

    a. Number of schools by type of school and district: 1972 - 2002

    b. Number of functioning schools by medium and district: 1998 - 2001

    c. Number of government schools by grade and district, 1972-2002  

    d. Number of pupils in schools by type of school classified and district, 1972-2002

    e. Number of teachers in schools by type of schools classified and district,1972-2002
